The date in question is November 30, 2010.
Sony Style, which is Sony’s own online store, put up the date themselves, and you’d have to think that a completely Sony-run retailer would be pretty accurate and in-the-know when it comes to these kinds of things. For those readers who may not be completely convinced, well, the actual wording of the site isn’t really going to inspire much confidence:
That’s right - the posted date is precisely imprecise. However, a November 30 launch date would be perfect for holiday shopping. At just over three weeks to go before Christmas (yes, that time is coming again), retailers would have time to restock the shelves with Gran Turismo 5 once or twice.
Previously, a Japanese website listed that Gran Turismo would be released on December 23, but the listing was taken down soon after word got out. Since the Sony Style date is staying, folks, we’ve got no choice but to believe – to believe that this perpetually-delayed game will finally see the light that is…well, the darkness of our Blu-Ray Disc Trays. (Bear with me on the analogies, my mind is in a land where I’m suavely racing in my Volkswagon Golf.)
What do you think, Ranters? Is the end of our waiting is finally here? Have you been waiting for Gran Turismo 5 for a while? Stay strong, brothers. Let us know in the comments.
Gran Turismo 5 will be released “on or about” November 30, 2010, exclusively for the PlayStation 3.
