PlayXBLA recently revealed that Skin Pack 3 for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is scheduled to arrive at some point very soon, and they’ve given gamers a sneak peak at a few of the costumes that’ll be making up a portion of Steve’s latest downloadable wardrobe set. Characters from the all-too popular Half-Life series will be taking up at least seven spots in the latest costume pack, and they’ll be accompanied by a few members of the Awesomenauts roster.
These characters will be joining a fairly solid lineup of prestigious gaming icons that have already become available as downloadable skins for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition. Everyone from Master Chief and Marcus Fenix to Tony Hawk and the Castle Crashers have made their debut, and it’s unlikely that the development of additional skin packs will cease production anytime soon.

While paying for something that’s free on the PC version of Minecraft is irritating, it’s still good to see Gordon Freeman return after all these years. Although it’s not quite Half-Life 3, fans will be relieved to see that the mute protagonist hasn’t been forgotten. The addition of Awesomenauts characters is also a nice treat, and it makes us wonder who else may be next. Fortunately, it won’t be too much longer until the entirety of Skin Pack 3 has been revealed.
No additional details have been released outside of four screenshots displaying the new skins, but it’s expected that this particular add-on will cost 180 Microsoft Points ($2) — just like the two packs before it. PlayXBLA has assured everyone that they’ll be revealing more details soon, so we’ll be sure to keep you updated as soon as more information on the DLC is made available.
